This weblog (or blog for short) is used to disseminate useful information on how to digitize electronics manufacturing and make it more flexible. We want to provide electronics manufacturers all over the world with guidance regarding Industry 4.0 and the industrial internet, and provide the industry with a platform for discussing related topics.
To ensure that the blog meets these goals, the following rules apply:
- Respect others along with their knowledge, experience and opinions
Please be professional, polite, friendly and tolerant in all your articles and comments. Just like in real life, always treat others the way you yourself want to be treated. Write comments the way you would like others’ comments to read. We want to promote progress with this blog, and progress requires well-informed, factual discussions and a diversity of opinions. No one has a monopoly on the truth.
- Respect intellectual property
Treat others’ intellectual property with care and respect. Observe copyrights, trademarks and rights to names, etc. Request permission before posting other people’s pictures, graphics, text blocks, etc. or referring to or copying from external sources in your articles or comments. When you quote others, always refer to or link to the author.
- We monitor and edit this blog, including comments
All articles and comments on this blog will be monitored and edited. The contents of this blog will be checked with regard to subject area and observance of rules. Please understand that this may lead to some delays between the time you submit something and the time it gets published.
The authors of this blog write their submissions in their free time or not as part of their full-time job. The editors and authors may block the comments function for certain articles for no particular reason – for example, if they fear that they won’t be able to process questions and comments in a sufficiently speedy manner.
The editors/publisher reserve the right to block articles and comments from going online or to delete them in their entirety or in part after they have been published without having to state a reason. This applies in particular if such contributions:
- include insults, abuse or personal attacks;
- spread racist, sexist, otherwise discriminating, abusive, copyright-violating or other illegal or criminal content (also in the form of links);
- have no or only a very loose relationship to the item being commented on;
- reflect machine-generated content (spam); or
- focus too much on advertising or selling products or services or on SEO purposes and the establishment of backlinks.
The blog rules and the editing policy help to protect rights as well as the authors and readers. We also request all readers to notify us of any articles or comments that you believe violate these rules (firstname.lastname@example.org).
To post comments, you must be registered with your name and e-mail address. The e-mail address will not be published, but must be operational. You may use screen names, but to maintain an open and professional dialog we request you to use your real name.
The publisher and editors will not forward any e-mail addresses collected from comments to third parties such as sponsors or use them for any other commercial purposes. We also point out that wherever links or downloads require address information or set cookies, the privacy rules of the respective website apply – we will not be liable for any abuse which may occur. If sharing/”like” functions are used by third-party (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), their respective privacy rules/policies apply.
To optimize its content and structure, this blog sets cookies and employs analytical tools. We do not collect data or run analyses that provide, collect or use information on the online behavior of individual users.
The publisher and editors take no responsibility for the correctness and completeness of contributions and comments. Since all contributions and comments reflect the opinion of the respective authors, the publisher and editors will not be held liable for their content. This exclusion of liability also applies to the correctness, completeness and content of websites to which contributions or comments may link.
